STUDENT’S REFLECTION:
Under the guidance of our Guru, we explored sustainability, gardening, and healthy eating in ways we never imagined. Through hands-on activities, we discovered how small actions could significantly impact our lives and communities. Each week, from sorting waste and testing soil to planting seeds and building gardens, brought new challenges and unforgettable experiences.
CHAPTER 1: GROW YOUR WAY TO A GREENER FUTURE
The Sorting Race was my favorite! I learned about different types of waste and how to separate them. Making newspaper pots was fun, and I took mine home to plant a seed.
Feedback:

CHAPTER 2: FROM BELOW THE EARTH TO ABOVE THE SKY
Composting was messy but fun! I now understand how waste can turn into soil. My favourite part was layering greens and browns in the compost bin.

CHAPTER 3: UNVEILING THE MYSTERIES OF SEED GROWTH
I loved planting seeds in coco-pit pots. Watching them sprout made me feel proud. I named my sprout ‘Hope’ because it made me happy to see it grow.

CHAPTER 4: THE GREAT PLANTING FEST
Building the garden together was inspiring. My team worked hard to plant okra and build trellises. It felt good to see our work come to life.

CHAPTER 5: FROM GARDEN TO THALI
We learned about healthy eating and taste buds. The Rainbow Thali activity taught me how to eat balanced meals, and I told my family to include more colourful vegetables.

• 🌿 Seed-Saving Interest: 80% – Many students wanted to save seeds for future planting.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
This program has been truly life-changing for me and my friends. We started as curious students and finished as young changemakers ready to inspire others. I now sort waste at home, grow plants with my family and encourage them to try new, colourful foods for better health. The skills and lessons we’ve gained will stay with us forever. I’m proud to say that GPS Halasuru is now a greener, healthier place—and we’re just getting started!
