Empowering the Next Generation of Women Entrepreneurs

Miss-GreenGrowth, a program by Miss-Collect in collaboration with the University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU), recently held a transformative two-day workshop on November 8th and 9th, 2024. Fifty enthusiastic young women from Government First Grade College Rajajinagar participated, gaining valuable skills in sustainable gardening, business development, health, and communication. This initiative embodies our commitment to nurturing a generation of women leaders in urban agriculture and sustainable entrepreneurship. πŸŒπŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ

Workshop Purpose:
Empower participants with practical skills to launch small businesses rooted in sustainable gardening and wellness.

🌿 Program Highlights:

πŸƒ Garden Tour – Participants explored TDU’s campus gardens, identifying medicinal plants and understanding their benefits, highlighting the powerful role of plants in everyday wellness.

🌱 Kitchen Garden Workshop – Through hands-on activities in seed sowing, soil preparation, plant care, and sustainable gardening practices, students learned to set up and maintain their own kitchen gardens.

πŸ“Š Business Model Canvas (BMC) Workshop – Students were introduced to the BMC tool, working in teams to develop business models for urban gardening products, fostering entrepreneurial thinking and teamwork.

πŸ₯— Nutrition for Life & Recipes – This engaging session focused on nutrition concepts and practical recipes using garden-fresh produce, empowering participants to create balanced meals with homegrown ingredients.

πŸ’Š Primary Health Care & Recipes – Participants learned basic healthcare practices and natural remedies using garden-grown ingredients, discovering simple recipes and remedies for plant-based wellness.

πŸ“± Social Media Workshop – Each team created an β€œImpact Canvas” to outline the social impact of their products and learn strategies for building an online presence, connecting with communities, and inspiring sustainable practices.
