The Great Planting Fest at Vidya Ghat
In the vibrant halls of GKMPS Kavalbyrasandra, under the guidance of Headmaster Mrs. Jeejabai Shindhe and teacher Mr. Darbar, a diverse group of 6th and 7th-grade students eagerly embraced the teachings of the Veggie4School curriculum. Among them were Abhinaya, Ambika, Asif, and Charulekha, each bringing their unique enthusiasm and energy to the learning process.
As the classroom lessons unfolded, the students’ excitement was palpable. With eager minds and attentive hearts, they absorbed every detail of square foot planting, eagerly creating intricate garden designs on paper. With names like Abhishek, Ayisha, and Muskan eagerly discussing the placement of each vegetable seedling, the classroom buzzed with creativity and enthusiasm.
When the time came to put their plans into action, the students wasted no time in getting their hands dirty. With the guidance of the Garden Gurus, they carefully transplanted seedlings into the wooden garden boxes, their faces alive with determination and purpose. Detectives like Deepak, Hema Shree, and Priya S R worked tirelessly, ensuring each seedling found its rightful place in the garden.
As they learned about smart watering techniques and plant protection measures, the students nodded in understanding, eager to implement these practices in their own gardens at home. With Detectives like Nikhitha R, Suresh, and Tanushri S eagerly absorbing every lesson, it was clear that their commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship ran deep.

- Adoption of Square-Foot Gardening, Biodegradable Pots, or Smart Watering:Most students (88%) plan to use all three techniques—square-foot gardening, biodegradable pots, and smart watering—in their future gardens, showing strong enthusiasm for sustainable practices learned in the Veggie4School curriculum.
- Perceived Impact of Workshop Learnings on Future Gardens: A significant majority (85%) of students believe that what they learned today will definitely improve their current or future gardens, showcasing strong confidence in the Veggie4School curriculum’s impact.
